Program Overview


Restorative nursing refers to nursing interventions that promote the resident’s ability to adapt and adjust to living as independently and safely as possible, and to attain maximum functional potential. The restorative nursing program actively focuses on achieving and maintaining optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial functions.

Restorative Nursing Certificate Program

A certified restorative professional can assist with resident outcomes, maximize reimbursement rates, and prepare for regulatory surveys.

This 60-hour course will prepare the participant with knowledge necessary to implement, manage, and evaluate restorative programming.

Successful completion requirements include passing a post test with a score of at least 80%.

Two attempts are awarded to achieve a passing score.

  • Overview of restorative programming
  • Restorative care delivery systems
  • Completion of the MDS 3.0 Restorative Sections
  • Revamping Restorative Programs
  • MDS 3.0 GG
  • Documentation requirements
  • Job descriptions
  • Care Planning

Live Virtual:

  • Oct 30 – Nov 3, 2023 9am-4pm & Nov 3, 15, 22, 5:30-6:30pm
  • Nov 27 -Dec 1, 2023 9am-4pm & Dec 6, 13, 20, 5:30-6:30pm

** Live Virtual/Blended Course will have video lessons in addition to scheduled meeting times for a total of 60 hours of coursework.
